Ten Minute Timmy..................................

I decided to make a card for a friends birthday that doubles as a key holder.
I used my cheats version of one of Tims techniques from his 12 days of christmas tags.
Cheat with spray glue.to adhere grungeboard bits and metal sheet.
Cheat by using a die cutting machine to emboss the metal to the grunge board
scribble on keys with alcohol pens and sand bits off. .
add ageing with black acrylic and swipe it of before dry.
dry with heat gun.
Add owl from primark earring, coloured with a promarker.
Add various  Timmys bits dangling below
add some hitch fasteners to hang your keys and/or jewellery from.
Write greeting on back.
Simples!

I didn't have time in the ten minutes, but I think I will make a matching necklace with the other owl.

Have a grungy Monday.xxx

Ommmmmmmmmmm........................................................

Hels has set the challenge for sunday stamper as LEAVES. Well as summer has decided to desert us I am moving swiftly on to celebrate the first of the blingy sparkly seasons celebrations, namely Diwali.

Had the MOST fun with my letraset alcohol inks. In a weak moment I bought a shedload of rainbow shimmer card from c and c .WHY? - no idea. but at last have found a way to use it by covering it with alcohol ink.

This one was embossed with a marianne folder first.

Squished the excess ink off with some cellophane, so now have pretty cellophane into bargain.

cut fireworks with spellbinders, then stamped paperartsy flowers and leaves in black archival ink.

added 'om' symbol and Happy Diwali sentiment on safmat. Then cut out minaret shape.

On another piece, embossed with cuttlebug folder then swiped with black archival.

added this random bottle top I made in my soldering class [though strangely no soldering involved!] as the picture fit right in.

Hope you have a fabby weekend, I'm off to prepare for more sparkles in the form of 'Strictly come Dancing'. No, not doing a few stretches and putting on my ballgown,
-making pasta and lining up the G&T's, chocs and crisps! xxx

WOYWW.......The Beast.

Hi WOYWWers, here is the beast I brought back from my class on Sunday, we had great fun making a v. poor job of soldering, but now I understand the method am expecting great things!

The piece on the left is the first attempt, then the bottle cap and then the one on the right, which though not great is already a definate improvement. Despite being quite tricky to master, soldering is strangely relaxing and absorbing. Off to create while the daylight lasts, back for a hop around Woyww blogs later.xx

Hi bloggers,
Just a quickie before I hop off to bed to get up early for my jewellery soldering class.
I was supposed to stop crafting and do housework this evening.HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
I made this tag instead as I remembered  grungy monday has returned so here is my entry for
Grungy Monday challenge- a Holtzian Hallowe'en.

I used Tims latest Hallowe'en tag demo on his blog as inspiration. I had to make my own resist paper as I didn't have the Hallowe'en one, but it worked quite well using my unity stamps alphabet and clear embossing powder on the original resist paper ledger, smooshed with distress inks. I have photographed it sitting on a sheet of Midnight Dreary apothe-scary 12x12. Love those papers, but CANNOT cut them even though bought two of each.

I don't have the witch die either so have used one from graphic 45 le cirque paper. The clock and the bottle are Timmys however, as of course is the glassine strip to which I added alcohol inks.

The scary clowns on the bottle of 'blood' [alcohol ink and interference red perfect pearls] are digital images from itkupilli,[printed on safmat] which you may recognise from my last weeks sunday stamper entry. I love those spooky fellas!
Gave everything a good spritzing with Interference red perfect pearls.

Birdy Num Num..............

Hi All, hope you are having a great weekend. Have had a great Saturday lolling around for a bit and then sploshing paint about.
Recipe.
8x8 canvas.
Swirl branch stamp -Dawn Bibby.
Flower and leaf stamps- Sheena Douglass christmas roses.
Bird stamps- Creative expressions- christmas postage set.
Pebeo paints.
Tim Holtz Metal Plate.
Glossy Accents.

This canvas has many influences, the colour challenges of :-
Hels Sheridan's Sunday Stamper  ORANGE AND BLUE.

and the Play date cafe colours. RUST STORM AND DEEP SEA.
I am also entering it into the USE IT TUESDAY- METAL  as I used a long hoarded metal embelly.
and Simon says Stamp and Show -THINGS WITH WINGS.
It was also influenced by Photos of Dina Wakelys class on the ART FROM THE HEART BLOG  and by Cath Kidston.

If only it reached the dizzying heights of any of those talents! As you can see the glossy accents isn't dry yet but had to post tonight to make it into Sunday Stamper .

I don't normally enter a lot of challenges at once as it feels a bit like cheating, what do you think? But I was torn between a wish to join in with everything and lack of time this weekend, so hope I am forgiven!
Am off to a jewellery soldering class at Blade Rubber Stamps tomorrow with Susie Jefferson, which explains why I have less time this weekend, but am really looking forward to it as am fed up with my jewellery creations falling apart!

I painted the canvas blue/grey, then stamped the images just as a guide, then over- painted them with the acrylics. I love the colour combo, just wish I had more painting skills, but really enjoyed this project, which is the main point of creativity for me.Am bravely showing close ups even though it exposes my painting limitations! Hope it encourages others to have a go.

I liked it as a canvas, but couldn't resist adding the Timmy Holtz metal plate embelly.xx

WOYWW-more Mojo the clown.

Hi WOYWWers. On my desk today is a second canvas covered in Graphic 45 paper. Not sure what to make with it yet, just too tired to craft after work lately. Skid down to the next but one post [Sunday stampers] to see what I did with the first canvas. Any ideas for this one? the trouble is graphic 45 paper is almost too good to scwoosh over. V traumatic to cut into.
Hop on over to   WOYWW  to see everyone elses mess, I mean desks!.xx

Polkadoodle houses.

I don't know where the time goes, have had these Polka doodle stamps for ages, and have only just fount time toplay with them recently. The first few cards are straight forward promarker colouring.
Am also entering these into Polka doodles handmade flowers challenge.

Am entering this second card into Simon says , Sparkle and Bling challenge as covered in glittery bits and pearlidoodles.

These next examples I made with the idea of maybe selling them as sets of new home/general greeting cards. , The background papers were a magazine freebie by craftwork cards. I used them to stamp the houses on and then used promarkers to add shading. A departure from my usual style, but kind of like their simplicity.
